Awakening Bangkok 2022: Endless Tomorrow wants to inspire people about the future of mankind—how we move into it, how we will adapt, and how we can make the future sustainable for everyone. The fifth edition of Timeout Bangkok’s signature lighting festival showcases 37 light and digital art shows at 20 different locations, which themselves reveal untold stories that are equally interesting.

For millennia, humans have been contemplating, and searching, for possible answers to the ultimate question: How can we live a life that lasts?
The pandemic triggered all these thoughts: How can we have a long-lasting life? Is immortality possible? How close can we get to immortality? How do we adapt to change? And how can we create a sustainable environment and society that will last a lifetime – or even outlive us?
In this post-pandemic era, the questions are even more echoing. Tomorrow is now more precious. Life is fleeting and not everyone is assured of waking up to see another day. And so we start wishing for a tomorrow that lasts forever.
Humanity is struggling to come up with answers, from simple solutions to concepts that push the boundaries of imagination. Adopting sustainable production cycles and economic systems that are good for everyone. Creating a resilient city that can adapt and evolve. Inventing medical treatments that enable self-healing. Visualizing a parallel universe with no limit. Or even uploading our consciousness to cloud computing so we’re one step closer to immortality.
